Adaptive Learning and Knowledge Management

PRB builds systems and creates tools for sharing data and information to support program efficiency and effectiveness, improve decisionmaking, and advance learning to better achieve objectives.

The adaptive learning and knowledge management process systematically and intentionally collects and curates information and connects it to the right people at the right time to increase the likelihood that the information is seen, understood, and used by decisionmakers.

PRB guides knowledge management and develops tools, products, and events to harness and share information that can improve our work and that of our partners and inform action in the global health community. In doing so, we foster a culture of open, early sharing; amplify voices from all partners and geographies; and leverage knowledge and resources from other projects and institutions.
Toward this end, we develop a strong monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) framework with actionable indicators that create a roadmap describing how project actions will achieve overarching goals and intended results and then track performance. The MEL framework defines a learning agenda that will provide stakeholders with the information to make real-time changes and learn from each other through ongoing review, reflection, and adaptation.

To further support adaptive learning, we provide guidance and resources and support analyses to better capture and review information from complex contexts. This review allows us and our partners to make course corrections to our work within and across countries and brainstorm and test innovations to address learning gaps.
