Policy Advisor

Expertise: Youth and family planning, reproductive health

Jill Chanley is a policy advisor in the International Programs department who joined PRB in 2018. Her focus is on youth-friendly family planning policy research and advocacy, partnering with local family planning advocates to create data-rich communications tools to support policy change efforts, and training researchers and advocates in research-to-policy strategic communications. Prior to joining PRB, Chanley worked at the Global Health Advocacy Incubator and the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids in Washington, D.C., where she partnered with local civil society organizations around the world to develop advocacy campaigns for policy change on road safety, healthy foods and beverages, tobacco control, childhood drowning prevention, and maternal and child health. She also previously worked as a research assistant at the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs in Washington, D.C., and the Institut Supérieur des Sciences de la Population in Burkina Faso. Chanley holds a master’s degree in global health from Georgetown University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She speaks intermediate French.
